Just had to share our excitement with you of being voted No1 'Best selling Men's Brand of the Week' and No2 'Best selling Ladies' Brand of the Week' (Drapers' Indicator W/E 25 November 2011).

Drapers is one of the leading fashion trade magazines and they speak to 50 independent retailers about their mainstream footwear business.

Padders once again were delighted to sponsor the BCGBA (British Crown Green Bowling ) Padders feelgoodfeet Senior Individual Merit 2011 at Meole Brace Bowling Club in Shrewsbury on 30 July 2011.

All entrants qualify throughout the season to play in this prestigious event so the stakes are high.  It was a hard fought competition and the worthy winner was Mike Riley from Wales.

Lucinda Merriman, Padders Marketing Manager attended for the first time this year and had a fantastic day. She said ‘I was expecting crown green bowling to be very similar to our local game - quite sedate and measured. However, this type of bowling couldn’t be more different. There are 4 pairs on the green at one time, bowling anywhere they like, which means there are bowls flying around everywhere and only extraordinary skill keeps things moving along at a cracking pace. I would recommend it to anyone for a great day out.’

Only 2 days to go 'till 'The Wedding' takes place.

Out and about yesterday, I saw lots of Union Jack bunting in the shops, giving a great sense of occasion and excitement.

It really does make you feel proud and part of something very British when you witness the huge enthusiasm towards this exciting event.

I know there are some people who won't have the same patriotic feeling but all I can say is - what a shame!

There was a distinctly snowy feel to the Padders stand at the Moda Footwear and Fashion Show recently.  Padders were presenting their autumn/winter 2011 collections to the trade.

Keen to give their customers something in keeping with this wintery theme, a call was made to Thomas Tunnock Ltd to order some Snowball confectionary.

Andrew Grindle, Account Manager for Tunnocks was more than helpful and offered to give Padders some for free.  What a lovely man!

Needless to say, everyone loved them.

Padders were once again delighted to be voted 'Best Men's Brand' for the 5th year running at the IFRA awards dinner on Sunday 20 February at The Hilton Metropole Hotel, NEC Birmingham.
Padders were also nominated for the 'Best Ladies Brand', 'Best Customer Service' and 'Best Comfort Brand' categories.

The awards are presented by IFRA (Independent Footwear Retailers Association) and voted for by IFRA members.
