Sales Terms and Conditions
In placing an order the customer is agreeing to the terms laid out below.
In order to be able to buy products over the T. Groocock & Co. (Rothwell) Limited Website the customer must fulfil the following criteria:
- Be over 18
- Register with a real name, address and phone number
- Provide a delivery address within mainland UK (PO Box numbers, hotels & hostels are not applicable)
- Use a valid credit or debit card to purchase products (we do not accept AMEX)
When an order has been placed the customer will receive an automated acknowledgement email with an order number and details of the order placed. Once this order has been placed T. Groocock & Co. (Rothwell) Limited will begin the despatching process.
The product price includes VAT but does not include postage.
T. Groocock & Co. (Rothwell) Limited will try to ensure that prices on the Website are correct. However, in the event of there being an error, the following will happen. If the correct price is lower than stated on the Website the customer will be charged the lower price. If the correct price is higher than stated on the Website the customer will be notified of this change. If the customer no longer wishes to order the product at that price then they may cancel their order.
Prices are subject to change and T. Groocock & Co. (Rothwell) Limited reserves the right to change prices without notice, prior to a customer placing an order.
T. Groocock & Co. (Rothwell) Limited cannot guarantee the availability of products advertised on their Website. Although we will monitor the website closely, there may be situations when stock availability information on the website is incorrect. In this instance the customer will be contacted by a member of the Padders' Customer Service team and advised of the problem. The customer may cancel their order should such a problem arise.
T. Groocock & Co. (Rothwell) Limited aims to deliver products on time (within 10 working days); however, there may be situations where target dates cannot be met. Therefore, delivery times are non-binding and we cannot ensure that a certain time or date will be met.
The customer must examine the products upon delivery, checking the condition and that the delivery is complete. It is the customers' responsibility to inform T. Groocock & Co. (Rothwell) Limited of any damages or incomplete deliveries at the time of delivery or within a reasonable time.
Payment can be made by Credit or Debit card (excluding American Express). The customers' payment card will be charged when T. Groocock & Co. (Rothwell) Limited has accepted the order. We cannot supply products to a customer until the card issuer has authorized the use of the card for that payment. Card payment can be made online or over the telephone. Alternatively, payment can be made by postal order or by sending a cheque to T. Groocock & Co. (Rothwell) Limited. If a customer does not wish to make a payment online they should contact us by email or telephone and a member of our sales team will be happy to help.
T. Groocock & Co. (Rothwell) Limited delivers to locations in the mainland UK only. The order will be delivered to the billing address unless otherwise requested.
Deliveries will be made by T. Groocock & Co. (Rothwell) Limited chosen courier service, who will require a signature. If nobody is available to receive the product the courier will post a note through the door and take the delivery to your nearest depot.
Estimated delivery time is 10 working days.
We do not deliver to PO Box numbers, hotels or hostels.
5 -10 working days the price of delivery is £4.25 per order.
2-3 working days the price of delivery is £5.50 per order.
Returns & refunds
Customers may return products to T. Groocock & Co. (Rothwell) Limited by doing the following:
- Return the product to:
*PADDERS, Freepost MID16624, Kettering, NN15 6BR in the original packaging, sealed and suitable for resale. *(N.B. for UK only).
- Please specify why the items has been returned:
- Wrong fit
- Wrong item supplied
- Goods damaged or gone missing in transit
- Incomplete order
Please enclose the returns form provided so that we can trace the order back and refund or re-deliver as applicable.
We recommend that you request a 'proof of posting' receipt from the Post Office.
If the returns are not in their original condition and packaging or has parts missing, T. Groocock & Co. (Rothwell) Limited reserves the right to reject the returned item(s) and decline a replacement or refund for the product.
If the return is accepted, T. Groocock & Co. (Rothwell) Limited will refund the price that has been paid for the products by crediting the payment card. Delivery costs will not be refunded.
We will only accept returns for products bought on this Website. We cannot accept any products bought through other distribution channels. Proof of purchase is required in the form of an original invoice.
Manufacturers warranty covers all products. Any faulty items should be reported by email or by telephone to the Padders' Customer Services as soon as the fault occurs. The customer will be advised of the procedure for returning faulty products and a replacement, where applicable, will be delivered.
Please note that although PU is a hardwearing, durable and lightweight material, it is also biodegradable and will ‘break down’ over a long period of time.
This is hugely beneficial for the environment but can cause disappointment if a shoe is not worn, stored for a long period and then ‘breaks down’ when subsequently used.
Since 1997, we have used an additive called Staboxyl, which slows down the biodegradable process. Any Padders shoes manufactured before this date will not have this additive.
We cannot guarantee that all of our products are entirely colourfast and therefore there maybe some colour loss experienced during wear.
Padders' slippers are manufactured with hardwearing yet lightweight vulcanised rubber outsoles, designed specifically to be worn indoors. Wearing them outdoors, especially in damp conditions or ‘high traffic’ areas may cause damage to the outsoles or deposits of dirt to be picked up. As a result, the outsole could then cause marking on light surfaces.
You should also avoid walking on wet surfaces indoors as this could cause colour transference to other flooring.
All Padders' slippers have a disclaimer sticker attached to the lining which states the following:
'This product cannot be entirely colourfast; therefore some loss of colour may be experienced during wear.'
We cannot therefore be held responsible for any colour transference from the slippers to anything including carpet, flooring, furniture, upholstery or clothing.
